We will look at different kinds of murals there are and make one as a group.*This activity will need a longer time allowance than the other activity programs.
Topics and activities:
-Compare the different subject matter of landscape/scenic, collage, portrait, still life, and informational
-Discuss difference in 3 Dimensional realistic style and 2 Dimensional design style.
-Compare different existing murals
-Discuss techniques to deal with scale of mural making
-Draw prototype for group mural and make into life size mural!
The mural can be made onto almost any surface (walls, fences, plywood, fabric, etc.).
This will need to be predetermined to suit your needs. You may also want to have a design made ahead of time for the group to create. I would be happy to help with that as well!
